About Victoria General Hospital
The Victoria General Hospital (VGH) is an acute care facility that provides emergency/trauma services, general surgery, medical treatment, rehabilitation, geriatrics and pediatric services to people in the South Region of Vancouver Island. VGH is located just off the Trans-Canada Highway at Helmcken Road in the View Royal Municipality of Greater Victoria.

How to Apply
Please note volunteer positions at Victoria General Hospital are open to adults, ages 19 and older. Youth applicants can visit the Step Up Youth Program page for more information about volunteering.
Due to an increased number of volunteer applications, our response time is delayed. Once your application is reviewed, you will receive instructions to schedule an interview with a member of the Volunteer Resources and Engagement team. The wait time for an interview is currently three to four months. We appreciate your interest and encourage you to check back later as we will continue to update this page.
